Fran Krukar - Watermedia

After years as a potter, watercolor is now my media. To make this transition happen, I took many classes and workshops. I found using paper and paint every bit as expressive as clay and glaze.

New Mexico is unique. What fun to paint the mesas, red rocks, adobe buildings and northern New Mexican landscapes and to show my joy and excitement of living here.

I now paint a moment and the time taken to just appreciate what is in front of me. It usually are simple things like apples on a plate, pears, or chairs and a table in a sunny spot.

My watercolors have been accepted into local, national and international exhibits. Awards have been won. My work is shown at Yucca Gallery. I also show at several local art and craft shows annually.

I’m a signature member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society,National League of American Pen Women, Local Color Art Group and Friday Painters.
