Sandra was born in Detoit, Michigan and raised in Albuquerque.  She began her art studies in New York and continued with leading artists across the country.

Working mainly in watermedia: a combination of watercolor, ink and acrylic paint, she sometimes adds charcoal and often "weaves" collage into her paintings.  She tries to convey her love of the Southwest, not realistically but in an emotional way.

Sandra states; "I strive to have my work slow from my mind, heart, and soul, and hope the viewer picks up where I have left off."

Her paintings have been accepted in shows throughout the Southwest with collectors from from the United States, Japan, Europe and Canada.
